Tuan Shan 团扇, Moon-Shaped Chinese Fan
Tuan Shan (Chinese: 团扇 ; pinyin: tuán shàn), also known as Gong Shan (宫扇) and Wan Shan (纨扇), originated in China. Tuan Shan is a round fan with a handle, it is named for its left-right symmetry like a full moon.
Tuan Shan was very popular in the Tang and Song dynasties.
Later, Tuan Shan only retained the “symmetrical beauty”, and the shape and material also changed a lot.
